Last weekend Luis, Marta, Encarna and Javi, four friends from Valencia, Spain, had an incredible weekend in Monteverde cloud forest.
We offered them the Selvatura Park Tour because they were looking for adventure and a deep encounter with nature. Recently, CNN listed it as one of the 25 most beautiful places in the world, next to Lost City of Colombia, Impenetrable Forest of Bwindi, Uganda and other wonders.
Selvatura Park is the only zip line tour built entirely within the Monteverde cloud forest. On this tour visitors cross the canopy of the cloud forest suspended in large capacity cables using specialized mountaineering equipment. This provides a wonderful experience and sensations that are only comparable to flying through the forest. Moreover this tour combines the excitement of one of Costa Rica’s safest and most popular adventures. It also has a unique view of the forest canopy, views that in the past were reserved only for certain scientists brave enough to climb to the forest canopy.
At the beginning our friends were a little afraid because of the height but after a the first zip line they were happy and enjoying every moment of this incredible feeling.
As soon as they finished the zip line, they went to return the special gear. They felt brave and happy. Then, they enjoyed the hanging bridges and the power of seeing nature from above. Luckily, there weren’t many people so they could enjoy taking time for lots of pictures.
They had dinner in the enchanted Tree House where they tasted rib eye, quesadillas, Nachos and local beer. There was live music band so Encarna and Javi took the chance and danced.
