Do you match prices of other agencies?
Although we try our best to offer the most current savings on each property, should you find another offer for less then we will do our best to meet or beat that price.
What happens when I arrive to Costa Rica?
Our people will greet you at customs to ensure a seamless entry in to the country and will provide you with an initial briefing that includes detailed maps and driving guides of Costa Rica, welcome kit with the most complete information of your hotel, tours and travel services. We also carry a 24 hour hotline in the off-chance you may have questions or concerns about your Costa Rica vacation package.
What about transfers – how are your vehicles?
Our priority is to assure our customers a 100% safe and comfortable vacation. Therefore we believe in investing in new fleets of Toyota and Mercedes Benz vans which are given daily maintenance. All of our drivers are experts in navigating the notoriously pothole ridden Costa Rican roads and practice strictly secure driving. All our vehicles are computer monitored via GPS to ensure punctual arrival and departure times from destination to destination.
What certification do private tour guides have if any?
Unlike many other agencies in the country, the majority of our tour guides are officially certified naturalistic guides who’ve graduated from some of the top universities in the country. So rest assured that our travel experts are not only knowledgable but also experienced in all Costa Rica has to offer.
Do I need a passport to visit Costa Rica?
A valid passport is mandatory to enter Costa Rica. All visitors need a passport and there must be at least six months remaining before the passport expires. Depending what country you are coming from, for the most part you will not need a visa to enter however it’s important to note that your stamp (valid for 90 days) is your visa.
Is my drivers license valid to drive in Costa Rica or do I need an international one?
Your license (so long as valid) is ok to drive while in Costa Rica and is valid as long as the term of visa. For many this will be 90 days.
Can I drink the water in Costa Rica from the tap?
The answer is YES. However given every community is different, it would be wise (when away from resorts & hotels) to buy bottled water.
Should I get vaccines before coming to Costa Rica?
No vaccines are required to enter Costa Rica. That being said, tetanus and hepatitis shots are always a good idea, regardless. Consult your physician first.
I hear there people have to pay to leave Costa Rica – is this true?
Yes as a matter of fact there is a modest departure tax of $26 that can be paid in dollars, colones or with a Visa or debit card. As soon as you enter the Juan Santamaria International Airport (San José), take a right, this is the first thing you must do before anything else.
What are the most important items to pack when vacationing in Costa Rica?
Of course this is a loaded question given every one is different, however there are a few staple items you’ll definitively want to bring along.

    • Passport & travel docs
    • Sunscreen
    • Light clothing
    • Bathing suit
    • Necessary medications
    • Drivers license (see above)
    • Local currency (colones)
    • If staying in the mountains bring appropriate clothing and footwear.
    • Toothbrush

…the rest is up to you but these items are strongly suggested packing items for a vacation to paradise.
