The Central Valley is a green patchwork of coffee plantations, tropical forests and well-ordered farms, dotted with small cities.  It’s here that most of the population, and almost all of the industry, is concentrated.  There are numerous things of interest for tourists within the Central Valley, including volcanoes, waterfalls, whitewater rafting, coffee plantations, rain forest tours, butterfly farms and other wildlife-viewing opportunities.
